Country has never had it so good with Town’s rendition of Always…Patsy Cline. Meet Louise Seger, a divorced Houston
housewife, as she shares her memories and her first real-life
encounter with country legend, Patsy Cline. Based on a true story, this
show mixes Patsy’s country croons with Louise’s comedic turns.
Town’s production first premiered in August 2000 as the Board of Governors
of The Columbia Stage Society pursued a theatre fundraiser.
After playing to sold out houses, the theatre was asked to tour the production
across South Carolina. Town’s version of Always…Pasty Cline has graced the stages of the Newberry Opera House, Bishopville Opera
House, and the community theatre venues in Dillon and Greenwood.
And, in 2006, the show was once again on the Town stage.
Audiences cannot seem to get enough of this country favorite having
requested that we bring ‘em back where they belong! As y’all have
asked, both Shannon Willis Scruggs and Kathy Hartzog, will return to
the Town stage in the roles of Patsy and Louise. We’ve said it before
and we’ll say it again…you’re “Crazy” if you miss this one!
